JAMF Software Announces Minneapolis Facility as an Apple Authorized Training Center
MINNEAPOLIS – July 26, 2012 – JAMF Software, developers of the Casper Suite—a collection of client management applications for OS X computers and iOS mobile devices such as iPad and iPhone—has announced their Minneapolis facility as an official Apple Authorized Training Center.
JAMF Software has long offered certification courses to provide customers with advanced Mac and iOS management knowledge, helping them maximize their investment in the Casper Suite. Now, as an Apple Authorized Training Center, those education offerings are being extended beyond the Casper Suite to offer a broad focus on Apple technologies. As recognized leaders on the Apple platform, JAMF Software instructors are uniquely positioned to offer this training. JAMF Software is currently one of two Apple Authorized Training Centers in the state of Minnesota.
“Our facility provides a positive, engaging work environment, and our instructors are highly trained and knowledgeable in the Apple framework,” said Cameron Evjen, Manager of Education Services at JAMF Software. “As Apple devices quickly make their way into the enterprise, we believe it’s extremely beneficial for IT administrators to expand their Apple platform skillset. We’re thrilled we can officially offer this formal training.”
The first Apple certification that JAMF Software will offer is OS X Lion Support Essentials. This three-day, hands-on course provides an in-depth exploration of troubleshooting on Apple’s OS X Lion operating system. It is designed to give administrators a tour of the breadth of functionality of OS X Lion and the best methods for effectively supporting end users by refining the troubleshooting process. The course is a combination of lectures and hands-on case study exercises that provide practical, real-world experience.
Another recent addition to the existing courses at JAMF Software is Casper Suite Essentials (CSE), which is ideal for anyone new to the Casper Suite, or those looking to refresh their knowledge. The CSE covers common management tasks for OS X and iOS devices, and builds a solid foundation for day-to-day management with the Casper Suite. Benefits include networking and sharing experiences with other IT administrators, exploring best practices for Mac and iOS management, and establishing a deeper understanding of the Casper Suite.
These courses will first be offered in Minneapolis at the end of August, and the CSE will be offered across the U.S. this coming fall. For more information, please visit the JAMF Software website:
