Senior Software Engineer, Research

Job Description

The primary focus for the position will be to assist the Research Team in creation and the release of breakthrough products and features in support of JAMF Software’s core product lines and helping Apple succeed in the enterprise.

Location: Eau Claire, WI or Minneapolis, MN
Travel Frequency: Less than 10%
Education: Bachelor's Degree or a combination of relevant experience and education
Supervisor: Manager, Research

Responsibilities

  • Lead in the design and creation of products for research projects (i.e. Java Web App Development, Objective-C Command Line Tools, etc.)
  • Create, improve and maintain software components meeting overall project requirements
  • Mentor and advise others in related components and broad fundamental expertise areas
  • Engage with customers and partners as identified on specific, custom, initiative driven activities
  • Lead the transfer of knowledge for projects to feature teams, helping to move them from research phase to development
  • Develop expert understanding of key technology drivers and usage of device management solutions
  • Build a deep understanding of workflows that make JAMF customers successful and apply that knowledge to ensuring the quality of each release

Qualifications

  • 5 – 7 Years experience developing enterprise grade software with understanding of testing and quality assurance processes. (Required)
  • 5 – 7 Years Demonstrated experience in current programming language (to include at least one mainstream objective oriented or functional language) and tools based on position requirements (Required)
