The technology field welcomes people from all walks of life, so why do so many of our technology conferences still see a disproportionately low representation of women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and other underrepresented groups?
At JAMF Software, we’re working hard to make an impact on diversity in our community, and in our company. We want the technology community, and companies who participate in it, to encourage and recognize people of all races, ethnicities, genders, ages, abilities, religions, sexual orientation, and those with a military service background. We’re not there yet, so we would like to help make a difference, starting with our own conference, the JAMF Nation User Conference (JNUC), taking place October 18-20, 2016, in Minneapolis, MN. JAMF is going to offer 10 Diversity Sponsorships to better ensure a diverse community is represented at the conference and included in the conversation.
What is included in the JAMF Diversity Sponsorship?
- A ticket to JNUC
- A meet-and-greet with members of the JAMF senior leadership team
- A $500 stipend towards travel and accommodations costs
What are the requirements for an individual to apply?
If you are from an underrepresented group of people in the technology sector, and are able to attend JNUC October 18-20, 2016, in Minneapolis, MN, please complete the below submission form by 5:00 p.m. Central on Friday, August 12.
How will recipients be selected and notified?
Applications will be reviewed by a committee of JAMF Software employees, and recipients of the sponsorships will be notified by Tuesday, Sept. 6.
