Apple IT in 2015

Discover what the boom in the Apple ecosystem means for Apple IT.

As we launch into the new year, now is a good opportunity to reflect on the year that was for Apple IT and look ahead at what we can expect in the months to come. 2014 was another banner year in the Apple IT ecosystem and 2015 should be no different. For the IT Professional, there’s never been more demand for Apple IT management skills as Apple continues to grow its customer base with record sales of Mac, iPad, and iPhone devices.

Apple IT expertise is in demand
One measure of this demand is the JAMF Nation Job Board. Every month, dozens of positions are posted by organizations around the world looking for Apple IT expertise. For the IT pros that want to hone their craft and open new opportunities, JAMF Software offers a broad curriculum of Apple IT certification courses. To date, over 2,000 people around the world hold a Casper Suite certification.

Apple management tools are in demand
Of course, the Apple IT ecosystem is much broader than the JAMF Nation community. There are dozens of products available that offer Apple device management. From open source tools like Munki, Apple tools such as Profile Manager, and enterprise management solutions from Microsoft, IT software developers are increasingly focused on tools for managing Apple. A growing ecosystem and healthy competition between developers pushes the best ideas forward and benefits all.

The Apple ecosystem is growing bigger all the time
Another positive trend for this ecosystem is the Apple + IBM partnership that was announced in the middle of last year. This partnership allows both companies to focus on their core strengths and offers an unmatched opportunity for IT leaders.

The future has never been brighter for Apple IT and we are thrilled to be a part of it.
